Hi, I'm Jenny

Born in Mexico City and raised in Houston, Texas, I grew up in a bicultural and bilingual household where education was highly valued. This background has shaped the way I approach learning and communication and helps me create learning experiences that are accessible, relatable, and engaging for diverse audiences.

As a former educator, I bring more than a decade of experience designing and facilitating learning experiences. My transition into instructional design grew from a passion for creating meaningful educational experiences that support learning, performance, and behavior change.

Today, I design and develop learning solutions by combining instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and technology. I use approaches such as ADDIE and SAM to analyze learning needs, collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts, develop content, and create experiences that connect learning objectives to real-world performance.

My background in generative AI testing and red teaming has also strengthened my ability to analyze content, identify gaps, evaluate user experiences, and think critically about how people interact with technology. I bring that perspective into my instructional design work, particularly when developing technology-enabled and digital learning experiences.

I'm proficient in tools including Articulate Storyline 360, Articulate Rise 360, Vyond, Camtasia, Canva, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and WellSaid Labs.

When I'm not immersed in instructional design, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, and gardening.
